CityFinds is about empowerment. Women who choose a CityFinds career are empowered to take control of their time, their income, their lives... and have more time for the things that fulfill them. Similarly, CityFinds believes in our social responsibility to help empower members of our global community. Through our formal commitment to support programs that provide education, arts education, or support to women and children in need, we have taken a step toward creating a corporate culture of philanthropy. Every year, we will select charities to help fulfill these goals and will donate at least 5% of all sales to them, and our consultants have the option to match that 5% at each of their shows. The show hostesses may select from our three preferred organizations, but also have the option to indicate one of their own. Additionally, CityFinds will offer limited time items throughout the year that will be sold specifically to support one of these causes.

2007 Charitable Giving Selections:

  1. CityFinds Jerry Vale Scholarship for the Arts
CityFinds, and our friend, Italian American Crooner, Jerry Vale, have created this fund so that every year a child who would not have had the opportunity will be enriched by music education at the Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School. Pam Vale, CityFinds shareholder and one of our foremost designers, has designed a limited edition necklace, in sterling and 14 ct. gold, which she has dedicated to Jerry Vale, who also happens to be her dad. The proceeds from sales of this special piece will go to the CityFinds Jerry Vale Scholarship for the Arts. Additionally, hostesses may designate the scholarship fund as the recipient of the CityFinds donation from their show.

“Music is a unique and beautiful art form like no other. Without it, I would not have been able to express what was in my heart and become the confident person I am. If I can share that sense of pride with other children who struggle the way I did, I have fulfilled a lifelong goal.” — Jerry Vale

  2. The College Crusade
    www.thecollegecrusade.org
This is a charity near and dear to Jami Ouellette, founder of CityFinds. They provide underserved, poor kids the tools and relationships they would never have had so they can succeed in school and life and go on to college. Through one on one mentoring, they help build supportive relationships for these kids that go well beyond education and empower them to have the same choices as other, more fortunate kids. Throughout the year, hostesses may designate the The College Crusade as the recipient of the CityFinds donation from their show.

  3. Stephen Lewis Foundation
    www.stephenlewisfoundation.org
The former UN Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, Stephen Lewis is co-Director of AIDS-Free World, a new international AIDS advocacy organization. The Stephen Lewis Foundation helps to ease the pain of HIV/AIDS in Africa by funding grassroots projects that help individuals, families and communities ravaged by the pandemic. It provides care to women who are ill and struggling to survive, so that their lives can be free from pain, humiliation and indignity; assists orphans and other AIDS affected children in every possible way, from the payment of school fees to the provisions of food; support heroic grandmothers, who bury their own children and almost single-handedly care for their orphan grandchildren; and supports associations of people living with HIV/AIDS, courageous men and woman who have openly declared their status.

Grassroots projects are the focus of the organization-providing resources to small front-line groups that make tremendously effective use of comparatively small amounts of money. 90% of funds go directly to programs. Throughout the year, hostesses may designate the Stephen Lewis Foundation as the recipient of the CityFinds donation from their show
